| The stone wool advantage All Rockfon ceilings are produced with a 100% pure stone wool core. The products are covered with a fine structured fleece which is bonded using water based adhesive and then painted with water based paint. The stone wool material is easy to cut in different edge details and sizes, and the surface can be painted with different colours and structures. The 100% pure stone wool core combined with the specially applied surface finishes provide Rockfon ceilings with unique performance. Sound easily passes through the microperforated surfaces and is efficiently absorbed in the stone wool material providing excellent acoustic regulation. As stone wool is non hygroscopic, the tiles withstand up to 100% relative humidity and maintain dimensional stability. The stone wool is an inorganic material and so it is not attacked by rot, fungi or bacteria. Together with smooth and unbroken surfaces, this makes the tiles easy to clean. Last but not least, stone wool material does not burn and it withstands more than 1000°C for 120 minutes without melting, thereby providing excellent fire safety.
