FAQ - Hygiene control

All our ceilings can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner fitted with a soft brush attachment.

Selected ceilings, like Rockfon Blanka, with a micro-textured surface can be cleaned using a damp cloth or sponge.

Rockfon MediCare Plus and Rockfon MediCare Air products have a durable, highly water-repellent surface that resists diluted solutions of ammonia, chlorine, quaternary ammonium and hydrogen peroxide. They can also be disinfected twice a year using steam cleaning following a protocol defined by experts and using an adapted surface mop.

Yes; the Rockfon MediCare® range of tiles, and associated Chicago Metallic™ grids, are widely used in hospitals. Some of the largest hospitals in the UK and Ireland have Rockfon ceilings and they are named on the NHS Procure 22 procurement program. Projects including the UK’s first PFI Hospital - Darent Valley in Kent, Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew's Hospital, Derby Hospital, Pembury Hospital, Romford Hospital, Manchester Hospital, Southmead Hospital, Papworth Hospital, Tallaght Hospital, Alder Hey Childrens Hospital, to name but a few, have Rockfon ceilings.
