Through his concept of “hedonistic sustainability”, Bjarke Ingels advocates for buildings that are not only environmentally responsible but that are also enriching and joyful to inhabit. Since 2005, his Copenhagen-based firm BIG has delivered projects that are bold in scale yet increasingly conscious of their footprint.
Central to his philosophy is the idea of "Formgiving" – or giving form to the future. In this conversation, Ingels will reflect on the evolving tension between scale, comfort, and climate, discussing how form can be shaped across different sectors with such considerations.

An advocate for sustainable, context-driven design, Louis Becker has played a central role in shaping Henning Larsen's international profile since he first joined the practice in 1989.
In this conversation, Becker shares how the practice's multicultural, collaborative structure supports knowledge sharing and innovation. He'll discuss how the firm integrates embodied carbon data into its design process, and how architects can convincingly communicate low-carbon strategies to clients while still delivering buildings that meet contemporary expectations of comfort, identity, and well-being.

Having designed some of Denmark's favourite, most recognisable businesses, Nikoline Dyrup Carlsen and Michael Anker both lead practices that demonstrate that brand identity and values are honed with attention to details – whether through Spacon & X’s layering of materials or Anker & Co’s studied integration of lighting.
In this HubTalks conversation titled "Identity in the Details", the two explore the subtle choices that influence how spaces feel and flow. They also discuss their supplier relationships, use of sustainability data, and specification procedures.
