Great aesthetic and acoustic interior for demonstration of household devices
The specialist boutique for high-end household appliances, Boutique Vorwerk has created a concept store where they arrange workshops. The aim is to showcase the different household devices they offer, so the customers can see how they work and for what purpose they can be used for. The concept store is designed with an unique interior but it needed excellent acoustics to optimise the experience.
Acoustic harmony for better customer experience
The architects had the vision to create tailormade islands for the stores in Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse. The idea with the tailormade islands is to create an atmosphere of a dynamic design and to meet the initial request, Rockfon® Mono® Acoustic solution was the go-to choice. The Rockfon acoustic ceiling was a perfect harmony of the architectural concept and the desired acoustic comfort.
One of the priorities of this project was to work and improve the acoustics so noise pollution was limited and therefore, create a better experience for the viewers. It was a must that the ceiling solution could be fully integrated with the existing design and aesthetics.
The Project Manager at Vorvex, Guillaume Martin explains: “We wanted a ceiling that didn’t look impersonal or as an office ceiling. We wanted a ceiling solution with a beautiful rendering and strong attention on the sound”
On that note, it was natural that the choice was Rockfon. They offer a monolithic ceiling that brings modularity and aesthetics to life for this architectural concept. This ceiling not only controlled the sound and was modular, it should also give a very smooth surface with a great light reflection.
Acoustic islands with an aesthetic and light appearance
The ceiling should offer the desired aesthetic and light appearance. But it should also be able to support the weight of the numerous equipment that was suspended or integrated into the ceiling such as ventilation, structures, lighting. It was a successful bet as Rockfon® Mono® Acoustic perfectly fit into the design and was adaptable into the structure of the different stores. It allowed optimal comfort during the different demonstration workshops and the result was amazing.
Director of Development at Vorwerk, Bruno Romuald continues: “Beyond all the excellent acoustic performance of Rockfon ceilings, we also value how its adaptability made it fit into our tailor-made projects. Rockfon is a well-known, establish and recognised brand in France. The Rockfon® Mono® Acoustic met all requirements we had, and we are very satisfied with the final result. We even think about continuing to use this product for our next stores!”
