Planning for future growth

ION Group provides financial technology (fintech) software and data services for the financial services industry. It acquired 9,000 sq ft on the second floor of Styne House - a multi-let landmark six-storey building – in Dublin in late 2025.

Shell & Core speculative office fit-out

Speculatively developed by IPUT Real Estate, the second floor was fitted out to Shell & Core to provide a blank canvas and to prevent unnecessary rip-out waste from an incoming tenant.

ION required workspaces for 84 people with room for growth, plus client-facing meeting rooms, focus and wellness rooms, collaboration zones, breakout areas and a canteen that doubles as a townhall.

Tenant fit-out reflected bespoke branding

ION Group’s brand is inspired by technology. It’s reflected in subtle futuristic designs, juxtaposing regular and irregular forms - particularly the curves in ION’s logo - hard and soft materials, glossy and matte surfaces in the joinery, glazing and acoustics. It’s portrayed through a palette of clean, chromatic blues, darks and silver.

Working with the Workplace & Design team at Savills, we specified seven large (4800 x 4800mm) Rockfon Hub’s, an acoustic island with curved edges featuring Rockfon Color-all X-edge tiles in dark blue Storm. The Hubs were to provide unique spaces within an open plan office.

Amy Whelan, Interior Designer at Savills, explained why she chose Rockfon Hub,

We chose Rockfon Hub because of their size, the curved shape and colour Storm which is a rich dark blue. For the areas of ceiling without any acoustic treatment, we matched the soffit and services spray colour to a matching RAL reference. The colours blend seamlessly, allowing the Hubs to feel fully integrated into the architecture rather than a standalone feature. Combined with their Class A acoustic performance, the Rockfon Hubs helped us create focused, comfortable spaces aligning with the overall design intent.

Deirdre Mulvaney, Key Account Manager for Acoustic Design for Rockfon says,

This project demonstrates how Rockfon Hub supports ISO 22955 acoustic design principles by addressing both sound absorption and spatial definition within open-plan workspaces. The Storm colour was selected to align precisely with the interior palette, highlighting the flexibility of our colour options and enabling the acoustic solution to become an integral part of the design rather than a visual compromise.
