Rockfon acoustic islands and baffles: theory and installation

OBJECTIVES

Learn about Rockfon options for exposed soffit projects

• Acquire a good understanding of Rockfon islands and baffles from hands-on training
• Understand layout choices and how to calculate the number of islands/ baffles required in a space

Participation criteria:

Minimum of 1 year’s experience in ceilings and interiors

DETAILED PROGRAMME

10.00 – 17.00

• Overview of Rockfon island and baffles products
• Understanding acoustic and other performance capabilities of islands and baffles
• Identify the components necessary to install an Eclipse islands and Contour baffles
• How to quantify calculate the number of islands/baffles required 
• Vertical suspension or direct fix to soffit 
• Layout including shape, colour and suspension depth choices 
• Install the islands and baffles
