The stone wool core of ROCKFON products is non-combustible with a melting point of more than 1000°C and provides fire protection. Some ROCKFON ceilings have been tested and classified in accordance with European norm EN 13501-2 and/or national norms.

ROCKFON ceiling tiles are dimensionally stable even at humidity levels of up to 100% relative humidity and can be installed at all temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C. They can be installed during the very early stage of the build (when windows are not fully sealed). Their lightweight yet stable non-hygroscopic character minimises the final weight of the fully-installed ceiling. ROCKFON ceiling tiles are predominantly classified as Class 1/C/0N in accordance with EN 13964. Certain module sizes (width above 700mm) are Class 2/C/0N.

Schools How acoustic solutions make a difference to focus and wellbeing in schools.
Being a refurbishment project, the build had a number of challenges. The ceiling contractor, turned to Rockfon to provide acoustic and environmental solutions to help optimise the layout of the new building.
Moray Council specified compliance with Building Bulletin 93 throughout the school, and a wide selection of Rockfon ceiling and wall solutions have been installed to achieve this.
Rockfon acoustic ceiling and wall solutions have been installed throughout the brand new purpose-built Keith primary school in Moray to meet specific requirements for acoustic control, aesthetics and impact resistance.
Rockfon ceiling solutions were installed to help create the ideal conditions for learning and enhance the architect’s contemporary design. Rockfon ceiling systems were selected for Skibbereen because they either met or exceeded the acoustic requirements specified by the Department of Education. Fire safety was also an important factor and Rockfon products provide Class A1 fire resistance, the safest fire classification.
Set in a picturesque village in County Clare, St Joseph’s Secondary School is a new state-of-the art learning facility created as part of an ambitious multi-million Schools Bundle PPP Programme - Bundle 4 Project.
