The heart of the Helsinki University Library in Finland is a monumental oval atrium that rises through the entire building, with curves that harmonise with the strong openings carved into the western elevation of the building. Anttinen Oiva Architects relied on the Rockfon Mono Acoustic seamless acoustic solution as the library ceiling to achieve the smooth surface and curve that they envisioned in their design concept.

Installed by Brebur using Chicago Metallic 55 mm structural I profiles with a custom fixing system of U-bolts and bracketry, the solution follows the library's steeply pitched roof while preserving daylight through the panels' smooth, ultra-white surface with high light reflection and diffusion.
